Occupational Therapist (Workplace Risk)
To accompany our insurance offering, PNO Workplace Risk was established in 2024 to provide additional support and training to clients in the areas of Workplace Safety, Workers Compensation, Injury Management and Early Intervention.
We are excited to be expanding the team and are looking for a qualified (currently registered) Occupational Therapist with previous experience working in the insurance/risk management sector. This is a part time position for 25-30 hours per week.
This role will have a large degree of autonomy and flexibility, with a considerable portion of time being spent on site with clients assessing their risks, responding to incidents and creating action/treatment plans as required. This may include physical and cognitive assessments, overseeing return to work plans as well as case management reviews. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files is an integral component of this position.
Your strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and experience dealing with Workcover Authorities will be utilised in this role, as you assist clients in navigating the complexities of workers compensation as well as injury and illness in the workplace – you will need to have exposure in this context to meet the requirements of this position.
Your ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders including specialist and medical personnel, will be critical in your ability to drive successful client outcomes. As an allied health professional, you will understand and value the confidential nature of the role and always conduct yourself ethically.
Together with the appropriate qualifications and experience our ideal candidate would be;
- a highly organised and methodical individual
- a lateral and big picture thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
- someone who is sensitive to the circumstances of others and can demonstrate empathy whilst having a meaningful impact
- have a valid drivers license to be able to visit clients with ease and be happy to spend some time travelling to sites as required
You will have the benefits of working in a small team with the backing of a well-established, successful Insurance brokerage. We have a number of perks offered to our team members, but our culture is what sets us apart – we will tell you all about that at interview!
Please send your updated CV and introductory letter addressing your experience in line with the key criteria we have identified above to nrennie@pno.com.au.
Look forward to hearing from you!
