About the role:
As the Account Director – Commercial Division, you will contribute to business objectives by identifying new business opportunities whilst nurturing and retaining existing clients.
This role is not about high-volume accounts, it’s supporting CEO’s and MD’s in large private businesses to manage their complex insurance needs. The range of responsibilities are broad, from presenting at Board level to providing quality and well thought out proposal and renewal documentation.
Whilst looking after your own accounts and you will also oversee a team of established and experienced Account Managers, working with a broad range of portfolios.
You are a strong communicator, you have an understated presence and natural credibility when dealing with clients.
We have a quality team of Commercial Account Managers so it will be critical that you can walk the talk. You will need to be an established and successful broker who also has the capability to mentor and lead others. Experience working with mid market clients will be a solid foundation for success in this role.
You will need a Tier 1 qualification and ideally a tertiary qualification which will support your established technical broking knowledge. Understanding and responding to the unique requirements of your clients will be a challenge that engages you, as well as reading between the lines of policy wording to maximise client coverage!
